Ohio again

Here I am back in Ohio...
Just like the last time I wrote!!
Well, I've returned from my long absence on Xanga, no promises on how long it will last!  I had a great summer interning in Wisconsin!  Now I'm preparing to head back to school for my last year...  how crazy is that!  As for wedding plans...  They're coming along nicely, I even have my dress!  It's bright pink with blue ruffles.  Ok, just kidding.  But I really do have it!
Is that enough exclamation points for you, Sarah?

Here I am back in Ohio for a little bit.  I'm working on a May term class and wedding plans.  My Mayterm is online, that's why I get to be home!  I have to say, I'm discovering that I'm much better at planning a ridiculous wedding than a real one...  I guess we all have different gifts in life   Right now my thoughts are to have a musical - choreography and everything! - or maybe a carnival theme with popcorn, cheese curds, and all of your favorite treats.  How do those ideas sound?  Does anybody want to tap dance?  Juggle?

Yeah... It's about time.

So I promised that I'd put up pictures and the story a long time ago.  Well...  I don't really know how much you guys want to hear.

Basically, we were in Ohio visiting my family for Easter and Dan, without me knowing, asked my dad for my hand in marriage.  That was on Thursday.  On Saturday he decided he wanted to take me out to see the sunset.  First we tried a beach on Lake Erie.  That was all smelly and covered with dead fish.  So then we went to a nice park that has a castle-like structure in it.  At least that structure is in there somewhere...  It's a pretty big park and there just happened to be some road construction in the park that we ran into.  So we thought we'd get out and find the castle by foot.  After hiking for an hour and a half with the sun long gone, we decided to return to the car.  That silly park had signs for the castle that had arrows going in two opposite directions!  I don't know what they're thinking.

Dan had been dragging his guitar with him the whole time and I was wearing flip-flops since I thought we were going to the beach.  I had been wondering if he was going to propose, but I was in denial.  And when we couldn't find the castle and he was so calm and sweet, I really figured that it must not be happening.  He sure had me fooled!  Eventually we found ourselves at another park near where my family lives.  There was bench down by a pond that he put the car lights on and we headed down to.  The stars were out, there was a nice mist over the pond, and there was dew covering the grass.   I sat down on the bench and he pulled out his guitar and told me that he had written a song for me.  That really got me wondering if he was going to propose.  But I didn't want to get to the end of the song and be waiting for something if it wasn't going to happen!  So I tried really hard not to cry.  But at the end of the song he asked me to be his wife.  He pulled out a gorgeous ring and I tearfully said "yes" a billion times.  It was like a dream.  I couldn't believe it!  I've had a few weeks to let it soak in and become a reality, though

Here are some pictures of my ring and of us at my house on Easter.

On Saturday...

Dan asked me to marry him.

I said yes, of course!

Pictures and story will come soon

For now, it's time to write a paper!

Easter

It's Good Friday.

Easter is on the way!

Dan got to come visit my family with me!

What could be better than that?

Of course not having a ten page paper to write might be nice...

But I shant complain
